At the mention of lawyers, the usual reaction is negative and a general malaise towards them. My lawyer is the exception. He is the Honest Abe Lincoln of the lawyers and as good as it gets and as good as lawyer, Honest Abe.
Fortunately, J. Clay McCaslin was recommended to me for my personal injury lawsuit. I had slipped on the ice at my apartment complex. The owners had neglected to clean all walkways and driveways, which were packed with snow and ice, into and throughout the complex. While walking home one evening several winters ago, I slipped on the icy parking lot, fell and fractured my pelvis. It was the worse day of my life and worse injury of my life, including two bouts with cancer surgery and treatment.
I was upset that the apartment owners were so negligent in caring for the welfare of their tenants, plus the fact that I was in a lot of pain and immobile for quite some time.
Clay McCaslin agreed to take my case after hearing the circumstances and so the lawyer/client relationship began.
While I recovered Clay took care of all legal matters and constantly kept me informed of his progress by emails and phone calls. He made it so easy for me to understand the process or my need to have the legalese explained again and again.
He prepared me for my deposition so well that when we settled the suit, I was both relieved and disappointed that I wouldn’t have a chance to do “my thing” at the deposition which I had been so well prepared for. But the settlement was worth it.
Adjectives for J. Clay McCaslin: extremely intelligent, very patient, considerate, thorough, compassionate, and persistent and I am delighted and fortunate to have worked with him as my lawyer. I am especially pleased with the outcome of the case and his gentle guidance throughout the process.
